{:de}Wieder ein Jahr vorbei und wieder ein sehr bewegendes Jahr geht zur Ende. Wenn ich mein Blog vom letzten Jahr lese, kann ich fast das Gleiche wieder schreiben. Wieder kein einfaches Jahr für uns alle.
Auch in Nepal bleibt die Situation schwierig. Für Mensch und Tier ist es auch dort immer noch keine einfache Zeit. Das Team von Sneha´s Care in Nepal ist tagtäglich unterwegs und leistet unglaublich viel. Jeden Tag werden über 170 Hunde gefüttert, medizinische Versorgung wird dort geleistet wo es notwendig ist, es gab wieder eine Kastrationskampagne und das Tollwut- und Staupe-Impfprogramm wurde auch dieses Jahr wieder durchgeführt und sogar erweitert. Ziel ist 10.000 Hunde zu impfen in Kathmandu im Ortsteil Lalitpur (Anti – Rabies Vaccination Campaign – Sneha Care).

{:de}How is it possible that a dog you have never met touches your heart so deeply? That is what happened to me with street dog Elie. She lives in a shelter in Kathmandu after having a terrible traffic accident where she lost her right front leg.

At the beginning of the covid-19 time I saw a picture of Elie at the site of Sneha’s Care. A sunshine, a laughing dog 😀 That is what I needed during that strange and difficult time, some happiness, some positivity. I was happy supporting Elie and giving her a little bit of a better life.

I always received updates of her. She was nauty, happy, everything went well. I was happy for her. I wanted to visit her when traveling to Nepal again. Getting to know each other, playing together, having a good time together.

Unfortunately last week I got the message, she did not want to eat anymore. She was brought to the doctor, her kidneys did not work anymore. For about one week she did not eat, was on fluid and finally left this world to cross the rainbow bridge 🌈

Dear Elie, have a good journey and a good rebirth! You will be in my ♥️ forever!
